The city of Angels, oh what a place ! After spending a couple days in a blur of hanging out and having cocktails in boystown, I must say that it has been fun ... and relatively easy to drive in! Of course not while drinking.
I was able to conjure up some old memories of my grandfather, Mr. Gilmore, when we made the stop at the Le Brea Tarpits. A relatively old site (20,000 years ago, +/- 10,000 years) where tons of animals and some poor individuals managed to get into the pits never to see the light of day again. My guess is the humans were tossed in by certain, not to be mentioned individuals. And as a bonus, whilst we were visiting we saw an age old relative of mine, the giant land sloth. One never would of known that about me, but when I was in my 3rd past life I was king of the giant land sloths. We all got together and played games like bananagrams and hide-and-go-to-sleep. Good times ... lemme tell ya!
Los Angeles is a very enjoyable city. They have a lot of great little clothes shops, and a giant Korea town which we toured. The most interesting are all the shops that have every kind of old furniture knick knacks you could ever browse. We acquired a beautiful new moon lamp for our pad in Austin which will go nicely with our pictures and werewolfed-ness. We got it at Metropolis Nick Collectible Furniture @ 100 S Le Brea Ave. Go check it out!
We managed to make it to Hollywood Blvd to compare our hands and feet to those of the stars. Some we wondered how they made it to such an elite status... *cough**cough* Hugh Jackman, Steven Seagal*cough**Cough*
Thanks for the place Alex and Phil, we enjoyed staying and cooking food for you! Thanks LA for letting us witness an accident on our way out, and taking 2.5 hours to travel 20 miles as we pushed towards Joshua Tree!
Miles traveled : 1800
Unskilled drivers observed : infinite x2
